HOTEL MANAGER

SUMMARY:  Shall be ultimately responsible for the daily operations and all activities of the Hotel.  The incumbent shall supervise all Hotel staff.  The incumbent is responsible to read, implement, and enforce all Prairie Wind Casino/Hotel policies and procedures, OST Ordinance 94-01, Tribal/State Gaming Compact, OST Minimum Internal Control Standards, Title 31 Minimum Internal Control Standards, Prairie Wind Casino Employee Handbook, Hotel Departmental Policy and Procedure Manual, and the State of South Dakota and Indian Health Services Codes.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hotel/Motel Management from a four-year college or university preferred or an equivalent combination of related education and two years management experience.
  • Must apply and obtain an Oglala Sioux Tribal PMO gaming license.
  • Must possess excellent communication, organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to understand the in-depth intricacies of the Sales, Engineering, Housekeeping, Laundry and Front Office Divisions required.
  • Provides a safe environment for customers and employees through compliance and safety guidelines.
  • Must have Covid-19 vaccinations.
