POSITION AVAILABLE: HOTEL HOUSEKEEPER (TEMPORARY POSITION)

DEPARTMENT:      HOTEL

 

SUMMARY: Cleans and maintains the appearance of the Hotel, Convention Center, public areas, restrooms, offices, and other assigned areas within the Hotel.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 

  • Long periods of standing and walking.
  • Constant pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, reaching, and stooping.
  • Must be able to lift weight up to forty (40) pounds.
  • Frequent exposure to dust, dirt and chemicals associated with cleaning agents.
  • Exposure to loud and continual noise levels and a smoke filled environment.
  • Must be able to work in various weather conditions.
  • Works near moving mechanical parts and is regularly exposed to risk of electrical shock and radiation.
  • Must have general knowledge of chemicals and laundry agents.
  • Must be willing to learn, be able to work independently and on a team.
  • Must be flexible with shift and days off.
  • Must be able to meet internal training requirements.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • High School Diploma or GED certificate preferred.
  • Must be able to obtain an OST support gaming license.
  • Preference will be given to OST members.

DEPARTMENT:      Facilities

 

 

SUMMARY: The Maintenance Worker is under the supervision of the Facilities Manager. The incumbent shall be responsible to read and adhere to all OSHA Rules and Regulations and the Prairie Wind Casino Safety Rules and Regulations. They shall also adhere to all Prairie Wind Casino Minimum Internal Control Standards, Oglala Sioux Tribal Minimum Internal Control Standards, OST Commission on Gaming’s Rules and Regulations and NIGC Rules and Regulations as it pertains to the Maintenance Department.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Apply for and obtain an OST Tribal Key Gaming License.
  • Possess a High School Diploma or GED certificate.
  • Must pass a drug test.
  • Possess a valid Driver’s License.
  • Provide verifiable references from previous employers.
  • Submit the proper documentation if applying for Indian Preference.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in carpentry, masonry, electrical, and plumbing is preferred.
  • Submit a DD-214 if applying for Veteran Preference.

SUMMARY:

Responsible for the daily operation of the Front Desk and One-Touch Service promoting quality guest service to achieve maximum guest satisfaction and increase room revenue.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Must be a High School Graduate or equivalent.
  • Minimum of two years resort front desk experience preferred.
  • Computer literate with strong mathematical skills, and Data entry knowledge
  • Possess excellent quality with phone and communication skills
  • Possess excellent customer service skills.
  • Must be able to obtain/maintain a required OST Gaming license.

Position available: POSITION: Bingo Paymaster (part-time) OPENING DATE: August 15, 2019 CLOSING DATE: August 21, 2019

DEPARTMENT: BINGO                                                SALARY: $11.00 per hour 

SUMMARY:  The Bingo Paymaster is under the supervision of the Bingo Manager, and is responsible for verifying and collecting game cards, paying prizes to floor clerks, reconciling and balancing banks. This position requires a great deal of organization, and attention to detail. The paymaster must be able to handle multiple tasks at once and work very well under pressure. The Paymaster may also cover the task of issuing all paper and merchandise to floor clerks and cashiers, receiving the returns, and assisting in the compilation and completion of session paperwork. Shall be required to read, implement, and adhere to all Prairie Wind Casino Policies and Procedures, OST Ordinance 94-01, Tribal/State Gaming Compact, NIGC Minimum Internal Control Standards, Indian Gaming Regulatory Act, OST Minimum Internal Control Standards, Title 31 Minimum Internal Control Standards, Prairie Wind Casino Employee Handbook, Bingo Department Policy and Procedure Manual.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have a valid OST Tribal Support Gaming License
  • Must have copy of H.S. Diploma or GED certificate
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed,
  • Must present a professional manner and appearance at all times.
  • Must have good math and money handling skills
  • Must be physically able to stand on their feet for more than three hours and be able to work in an enclosed area with others.
  • Have at least one year of supervisor experience.
  • Must have ability to interact with guests, co-workers, and management in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Performs other bingo related duties as assigned by the bingo manager
