Join us on Sunday, September 15 for Sunday Fun Day at Prairie Wind Casino! We will be having an open horseshoe tournament and open cornhole tournament, with the 1st prize winners of each taking home $250 cash plus $20 slot pay for each teammate!
Participants must be a Player’s Club member. There is no entry fee. Registration will open for both tournaments at 9:00am and close at 12:30pm. The tournaments will then begin at 1pm.
Horseshoe:
- Be the first team to reach (or exceed) a score of 21 points at the end of an inning of play.
- In pitching a shoe, the player may not cross the foul line.
- The teams will play until the set amount is reached.
- When playing teams, half the team throws from one stake and half throws from the other.
- Score the horseshoes after both players have pitched their shoes.
- Record five-points for a ringer.
- Record three-points for a horseshoe that landed beside the stake touching or leaning against the stake.
- Record one-point horseshoes that land within one horseshoe length away from the stake.
- Prairie Wind Casino will provide the horseshoes for the tournament.
Cornhole:
- Be the first team to reach (or exceed) a score of 21 points at the end of an inning of play.
- Players pitch their bags in an underhand motion from the pitcher’s box next to each side of the board.
- Players alternate turns tossing their cornhole bags toward the opposite board.
- After each team has pitched four bags, players take the score, and resume pitching to the opposite board.
- A cornhole bag that goes through the hole is worth 3 points.
- A cornhole bag that lands on the board and stays there is worth 1 point.
- A cornhole bag that lands on the ground or bounces onto the board is worth 0 points.
- Prairie Wind Casino will provide the bean bags for the tournament.
